Radiation Probe Launch Site: Cape Canaveral . Launch Vehicle: Blue Scout Junior. Suborbital. Blue Scout first launch. USAF Blue Scout rocket fired from Cape Canaveral placed instrumented payload 16,600 miles above the earth, the first of 11 such tests, but no data were received due to radio malfunction.
