Dear Ferghana-Valley List Members,
We at the Ferghana Valley Development Programme are in the process of
gathering information for a database of experts on Ferghana Valley. We want
to include those with general knowledge of the region, as well as experts in
the social and economic development of the Ferghana Valley.
The purpose of this database is to help link the supply with the demand for
expertise, and thus to help improve the quality of initiatives to improve
conditions in the region. The Ferghana Valley Development Programme and
other development initiatives will draw on this information to find
candidates for jobs that need to be done.
We plan to make the database available through the Ferghana Valley
Development Programme website (http://www.ferghana.elcat.kg/), and through
more conventional means for those who don't have access to the Web.
We ask your assistance in making this database as comprehensive as possible.
If you are yourself an expert, please fill out and return the short
questionnaire below. Please also let us know about colleagues who should be
included. If you send names and addresses, we can contact them for their
information. Or you can pass this questionnaire on to them. Of course, we
don't want to limit the database to those who use e-mail, so please help to
pass the information to others as well. Please return the information to
the address below.
