Flexible dates, 1-2 months recommended

This is an experience that will change your life! Live at Kitezh, in
rural Russia, an ecovillage community of foster families who adopt
homeless Russian children. They grow their own food, build their own
houses and educate their own children. Kitezh is a joyful place,
filled with energy and fun. Live with a family, join in the daily
working life, teach English to the children. Russian language lessons
optional. Cost depends on length of stay.

A unique, wonderful opportunity to study Russian Language, History
and Culture with an international group of students in a rural
Russian village community. Work in the community, help with the
harvest, take part in Russian folklore traditions, forest walks, lake
swimming, bonfires, sauna. Ideal for Russian Language practice, but
knowledge of Russian is not essential.

Themes of Study: The course includes a daily Russian Language class,
and lectures and discussions on Russian Literature, 20th Century
Russian History and Politics, Russian Culture, Folklore traditions
and Religion. Also practical study of traditional healing methods:
collecting, preparing and preserving wild medicinal herbs &
mushrooms; arts, crafts, icon painting. The course is led by: Dr
Dmitry Morozov: founder of Kitezh, author & specialist in Russian &
Eastern World Religions. Dr Alexander Shubin: Historian, Green
politician, Lecturer in History of Modern Russia.

* Price includes: Return Airfare London to Moscow, internal travel in
Russia, 2 days in Moscow , Tuition, Accommodation and Meals. Travel
Insurance, Visas & Museum entrance extra.
