Dear Friends. It is a Polish custom that on December 24 (Christmas
Eve) we all gather around the table to share the joyous moment of
Christmas. Before we proceed to a lavish meal of 11 or 12 dishes
(depending on the region you are from) we say a prayer and we share
Oplatek (a thin wafer) with each other. Everyone goes around and
shares his Oplatek with the rest (breaking a piece from each other's
Oplatek). While doing this we exchange wishes with each other. For
us (Beth and Nicholas) this is a virtual Oplatek...

We wish you a very Merry Christmas and all the blessing for the New
Year. To those of you who celebrate Christmas - we want to share
with you the joy that the Lord is born. To our Jewish friends -
Happy Hanukkah and to our Muslim friends - we are with you in your
prayers as you go through Ramadan. To our agnostic friends - Happy
Holiday Season.

We wish you and yours all the blessings and fortunes. May you enjoy
peace, love and health. May the next year be more prosperous for
than this year. Let us not forget to be happy and merry: each one of
us certainly has something to be thankful for. Let's remember this
holiday is for family and friends and for times spend together.

Let us also pause for a moment and say a prayer or a share a thought
about how fortunate we are. When we gather with families and friends
- let us keep in mind and prayers those who will be alone this
season, the hungry and homeless, sick and poverty stricken. And let
us have a resolve to do something about it.

Happy Holidays from the Werners
