        PROJECT LEADER, Caritas Muminabad office, Tadjikistan

Caritas Switzerland, mandated by Swiss Agency for Development and
Co-operation (SDC), is implementing a regional development programme
in Tadjikistan / Muminabad. For our office in Muminabad we are
looking for a PROJECT LEADER.

Term of appointment:

May 2001/employment bound to duration of programme

Duties:

* Responsible for programme implementation

* Responsible for financial and administrative procedures

* Coordinate surveys and pilot activities of project phase I

* Planning of project phase II, in close co-operation with Caritas
headquarters and partners

* Ensure close co-operation with the authorities and civil society of
the district as well as with the international organisations and
SDC-coordination office in Dushanbe

* Local personnel management

* Regular/continuous reporting to Caritas headquarters in
Switzerland

Qualifications:

* University degree or equivalent

* Several years NGO-experience as expatriate in the field of
international cooperation

* Well-acquainted with the region of Central Asia

* Experience in project management and staff management

* Experience in participatory approaches and regional development

* Good knowledge in economics/agro-economics

* Aptitude in negotiation and communication, determined, loading
capacity

* Languages: English, Russian
