TOL SEEKS NATIVE RUSSIAN SPEAKERS FOR TRANSLATION E-INTERNSHIPS
THE PROJECT:
Transitions Online (TOL), a not-for-profit Internet magazine covering
Central and Eastern Europe, the Balkans, and the former Soviet Union,
is looking for volunteers with e-mail access and native Russian
skills to assist in translating more than six years of journal
articles and special reports from English into Russian.
Literally thousands of articles on post-communist political and
social developments await to be translated -- a vast wealth of
information with great educational potential that will be made
available in Russian free-of-charge. As a nonprofit organization, TOL
does not have the resources to pay for these translations.
Work at your own pace from your home or school -- no matter where you
are in the world.
WHAT INTERNS NEED:
- Native-level Russian
- Strong comprehension of English
- Access to the Internet, e-mail, and a word processor
- A strong sense of responsibility
WHAT INTERNS GET:
- Credit for all translations completed with "translated by YOUR
NAME" published on the articles you translate
- A free 12-month subscription to TOL
- Valuable international experience
If you are interested in becoming a TOL e-intern, please contact
