Eurasia Foundation Seeks EERC Executive Director

The Economics Education and Research Consortium seeks an
Executive Director, based in Washington DC, to manage a
leading economics capacity-building program in Russia and
Ukraine.
The successful candidate will be an experienced profess-
ional with knowledge of economics and proven ability in
international program management, educational grantmaking,
fundraising, and nonprofit management.
EERC runs a range of professional development activities
to nurture "new economists" across the NIS. Research
support (in the form of grants, training, publications
and other events) is available to a network of economists
spanning Russia; M.A.-level economics training and related
research opportunities are offered in Ukraine. (Please see

information on the program activity.)
EERC receives support from a coalition of donors in the
foundation, corporate and public sectors. The Executive
Director will be responsible for guiding overall EERC
activities, including ongoing program development, fund-
raising, strategic planning, Board relations, evaluation
of EERC programs, management of a $3 million annual budget,
and supervision of professional staff at EERC headquarters
and in two NIS field offices.
