The Press Development Institute,
a newly founded organization dedicated to developing the professional skills and long-term viability of the Russian regional press, seeks a number of staff members to join its Moscow office:
a.. print media specialists, especially in the field of management, design, advertising and journalism
Qualifications: at least three years' experience in an appropriate media field; training skills; interest in supporting Russia's regional press; computer skills; communication skills; enthusiasm for working in teams; eagerness to travel; fluent Russian, knowledge of English a plus.
a.. training specialist, concentrating on communication skills and modern training approaches
Qualifications: Education and three years' experience in training or psychology; experience in training trainers; ability to adapt methods to problems facing modern media; enthusiasm for working in teams; experience with a start-up organization; eagerness to travel; native Russian, knowledge of English desirable.
a.. manager with print experience to develop institute programs and direct educational efforts
Qualifications: deep knowledge of the regional newspaper market; at least five years' experience in management, in newspapers or other related organizations; interest in supporting Russia's regional press; training experience; communication skills; computer skills; enthusiasm for working in teams; eagerness to travel; fluent Russian, knowledge of English desirable.
a.. Web-site editor to direct and coordinate the Institute's six web-sites
Qualifications: Experience as Web editor in working press or in web-related company; knowledge of HTML and other web-publishing programs; knowledge of regional press preferable; ability to coordinate work of team members located across Russia who manage web-sites; interest in supporting Russia's regional press; willingness to travel; fluent Russian, English skills a plus.
a.. grant administrator with native English and excellent Russian
Qualifications: Excellent writing skills in English; Russian translation abilities; experience with printed press or with a non-profit organization involved in Russian development preferable; experience in developing ideas, programs and work processes; enthusiasm for working in teams; computer skills; oriented to details; budgeting experience interest in supporting Russia's regional press.
