Position Available: PROGRAM COORDINATOR

The Union of Councils for Soviet Jews is looking for a Program Coordinator
to be in charge of a dynamic US/FSU partnership program called Yad L'Yad
(Hand to Hand).

UCSJ was founded in 1970 as a grassroots Jewish and human rights
organization. Since the fall of the Soviet Union, UCSJ has focused on two
major programs: one is monitoring antisemitism and human rights, and the
other, for which we are hiring the program coordinator, is a partnership
assistance program which currently pairs nearly 100 U.S. synagogues and FSU

QUALIFICATIONS:
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Fluent Russian
- 1-2 years experience with project development and coordination
- General knowledge of Jewish history and rituals
- Computer literate

DUTIES:
- Coordinate activities between existing partnerships and initiate new ones
- Act as Yad L'Yad resource for UCSJ member councils
- Prepare informational packets and brochures for prospective partners
- Write articles, press releases, and reports relating to Yad L'Yad activities

Salary low 20Ks, plus good benefits
