EUROPEAN INSTITUTE FOR THE MEDIA SEEKS SHORT-TERM EXPERTS
FOR WORK IN CENTRAL AND EASTERN EUROPE AND THE CIS COUNTRIES

The European Institute for the Media (EIM) is a nonprofit,
policy-oriented research organisation based in Duesseldorf, Germany.
For the past decade, the EIM's Media and Democracy Programme (MADP)
has conducted media monitoring during elections as well as seminars
on media-related themes in countries of Central and Eastern Europe
and the CIS.

The MADP is looking for potential short-term experts in the field of
media, law and politics. Activities would include short-term
monitoring trips (of one to three weeks) to interview and report on
the media situation during elections or participation in seminars on
a range of media themes. No permanent employment is possible. You
should have a demonstrated interest in one or more of the above
countries, as well as a background in academic/professional
experience in the field of media.

Applicants should have an excellent spoken and written command of
English. Pertinent language skills in your area of interest would be
a bonus. Please send CVs to Ljudmila von Berg at madp@eim.org.

For further information about the activities of the EIM, please visit
the website at www.eim.org and check the Media and Democracy page.
