I am responding to your forwarded request for Russian language
materials on mediation in family settings. I have a few ideas:

1) the only Russian language mediation book I know of is a Russian
translation of "Everyone Can Win." This is a wonderful manual in its
English form, and adapts to family use quite well. It should be
available from the Conflict Resolution Network in Australia.
E-mail: crn@crnhq.org

2) I have a lot of English language materials. They are cataloged
with annotations on line. If you have web capacity check out my
website http://ConflictRes.org. Go to the library. There is a
password page--the password for May-June is: ost535sim

Search with key words like Divorce, or Spouse Abuse, etc. There is a
list of subject headings posted near the library entrance--it may
help guide your search. If you see any articles you want, you may
order them from me--order by e-mail. We can negotiate price that
takes into account your foreign exchange situation.

3) Re. mediation of spouse abuse--the prevailingthinking is you can't
mediate spouse abuse itself. Either he stops hitting her or you call
the cops--is the basic attitude. Women should not be forced to
"compromise" to avoid being hit. What we can do, carefully , is
mediate other family issues, like separation and divorce, with
couples where spouse abuse has been a problem.

Hope this note is useful.
