The following query has been received from Jim Stimpfle
<jim@nook.net>. Please respond directly to him.

>From Nome, Alaska, just across from Chukotka, in the Russian Far
East. The border was open between Alaska and the Russian Far East in
June of 1988. We have had many exchanges back and forth across the
Bering Strait. I am interested in hearing of anyone's experience in
keeping the border open between Nome Ak. and Chukotka. The cities of
Provideniya, Anadyr, and Laverentiya are sister cities with Alaskan
cities.
