Dear Sirs!
The public charity fund "Obelisk" just begin its activity! "Obelisk"
was founded February 1, 2000 in Donetsk (Ukraine). We help the
citizens all over the world those who are looking for their relatives
which were lost or were gone in the Ukraine (Donetsk area) during
battle actions in the period WWII.
There are about 1,500,000 graves of soldiers WWII at the territory of
Donetsk area (Ukraine). These soldiers were the citizens of Ukraine,
Russia, Germany, Italy, Austria, Romania and some other countries
which were in structure of USSR.
We consider that XXI century should be the century of reconciliation
and consent. We consider that each lost soldiers has deserved memory
and his relatives should have an opportunity to find out where they
are buried.
We create the Memorial Complex "Reconciliation and Consent in XXI
Century" in Donetsk (Ukraine) with the purpose of preservation of
memory about the lost soldiers WWII.
One of the tasks of Fund is help to the relatives in looking for
graves of lost soldiers and care of their graves. Our project is
supported by other public organizations and by local government.
The purposes and tasks of our project coincide with the purposes and
tasks of the Ukraine-Germany Agreement from 25.05.96. We are looking
for financial support for our project. We are ready to cooperate with
any persons and organizations all over the world.
We'll be glad to meet you in Donetsk (if you want) for discussion of
our joint work according to the project. We'll be grateful for any
help and consultations.
Sincerely yours,
Anatoly Dermainer
Vice-President
