72 out of the total 100 delegates of the session of the Belarus
Patriotic Youth Movement (a successor to the Komsomol) are on staff
with the BPYM, which means they get paid directly from the state
budget, reports BelaPAN March 23. In Vitebsk alone the tax payers
will donate 760 thousand rubles to the BPYM in 2000, which is 2,6
times more than in the previous year. Just for comparison, the city
program "The family" will be funded for only 340 thousand.
