Dear friends,

Hope all is well with you.

Cimera Network (a Swiss organization), the Osh Media Resource Center
(southern Kyrghyzstan), and International In-Service Centre for
Training Journalists, based in Tashkent (Uzbekistan), organized a
three- day conference, January 20-22nd, for Central Asian journalists
in Tashkent.

The conference was the first step within Central Asian Media Support
Project (CAMSP), which is funded by the Swiss Agency for Development
and Cooperation. It was attended by more than 60 participants from
Central Asia and around the world. Unfortunately Turkmen journalists
could not come due to visa problems.

The complete overview of the conference will be posted in the Central
Asian Media Support Project's web site within shortest available
time. The web site location: www.camsp.osh.kg

I would also like to use this opportunity to announce the first issue
of the bulletin, titled CAMEL-Central Asian Media Electronic List.

[Ed. note: To obtain either the Russian or English versions of the
bulletin, contact Mr. Khamidov at e-mail address below.]

With respect,

Alisher Khamidov
Director
Osh Media Resource Center, Kyrghyzstan
