If anyone has the time, it might be a worthwhile idea to create a
database/web site devoted to cases like this one. I have
witnessed many myself (particularly in the German embassy in
Moscow, but also, vice-versa, in Russian consulates abroad) and
I've never had the feeling that anyone cared about what
happened about the serious abuse of human dignity often involved.
Has anyone brought cases like that to the attention of (e.g.) the
German government?
