Save the Children, a major international relief and
development organization seeks a Program Manager to provide technical and
management backstopping to the Egypt NGO Service Center
Activity. The incumbent will manage, in close
collaboration with the Area Director and Chief of Party,
the project start-up. He/she will play a lead role in
ensuring that the Activity staff has access to
information, best practices and results of other SC
activities on NGOs and civil society, Board development
and governance, and financial sustainability of the new
national NGO Center. Additional responsibilities will
include the mobilization of short term consultants;
conceptualizing and securing resources for initial and
annual team planning meetings; supporting the development
of appropriate monitoring and evaluation systems;
establishing and maintaining regular communications with
the COP and staff, other WWO units, partner
organizations, USAID/Cairo and USAID/Washington, and
monitoring compliance with grant and contract regulations
and procedures.
REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor's degree, Masters' degree in
relevant field preferred. Three to five years management
experience in international development, program
experience in NGO capacity building and institutional
development, demonstrated ability to work with large
grants/donors, and experience managing USAID funded
programs. Middle East experience and Arabic an asset.
