Dear CivilSoc subscribers,
The computer which runs the CivilSoc list acted up last week and ate the
list of CivilSoc subscribers on Thursday. This is only the second problem
we have had since we started the list January 1, 1995. Everything is back
to normal now.
However, we had to use a backup copy of the subscribers list and the last
one we could find was dated July 9. So if you unsubscribed or otherwise
changed your subscription in the last two weeks, you will have to re-issue
the command. We would be happy to help anyone who has a problem.
Over the next couple of days we will be posting the backlog of messages
that have built up over the past week.
CivilSoc Archives
Greg Cole, Director of the Center for International Networking
Initiatives, who has so graciously donated his computer and
technical skills for CivilSoc, has recently created a program which
automatically archives CivilSoc messages. The archive can be reached
through the Web page:

Please contact me if you have any problems or questions about CivilSoc.
Comments and suggestions are always welcome.
