Project Harmony, Inc., a Vermont-based, innovative, and non-profit
organization, is looking for qualified and experienced individuals to
work as Program Coordinators with its Community Connections Program in
Ukraine. This US Government-funded program recruits 400 professionals
and businessmen throughout Ukraine every year to participate in 3-4 week
internships in different communities in the United States. The
recruiting process includes promotion, press conferences, consultations,
interviews, and orientations. Candidates should satisfy the following:
Qualifications:
* US citizen;
* Strong to fluent Ukrainian or Russian (preferably both);
* University degree;
* Skilled in MS Office packages and Quicken;
* Training/teaching experience - skills transfer;
* Solid presentation and public speaking skills;
* Problem-solving skills;
* People person, interpersonal skills;
* Experience living in Ukraine or the Former Soviet Union;
* Love for train travel in the FSU;
* Self-motivator;
* Innovator;
* Flexible and patient;
* Culturally sensitive;
Responsibilities:
* Working closely with US and Ukrainian staff;
* Organizing and holding press conferences;
* Meeting with local business and government officials;
* Conducting interviews in Ukrainian, Russian, and English;
* Facilitating orientations that include cross cultural and strategic
planning components;
* Travelling often throughout Ukraine;
* Developing Project Harmony's Community Connections Recruiting program
in Ukraine;
* Financial reporting using Quicken software;
* Providing consultations to candidates interested in Project Harmony's
Community Connections programs;
* Communicating with USIA in DC, Project Harmony in Vermont, and other
organizations via e-mail;
* Program reporting and documentation using MS software;
* Working with Community Connections alumni groups;
