Grants Available to Improve E-Mail in Western NIS
On October 16th, the Eurasia Foundation announced an open grant
competition to improve the range and quality of accessible communication
mechanisms in the Western NIS. The Foundation encourages the submission of
proposals that involve one or more of the following components:
* Connectivity
* Expansion of electronic information resources
* Training and Outreach
All proposals must contain a component for training and outreach
activities.
The competition is open only to non-commercial organizations, including:
universities, institutes, schools, public libraries, non-governmental
organizations and government agencies at the oblast, city, or raion level.
Deadline: Proposals must be received in the Eurasia Foundation's Kyiv
office by December 15, 1995.
The Foundation is organizing seminars on proposal-writing in:
Kishinev November 8
Minsk November 15
Kyiv November 22
A representative of the Eurasia Foundation will be available for
consultations in:
Kishinev November 29
Minsk December 5
Kyiv December 8
Consultations related to the competition will not be provided outside of
these delegated times. Basic requests for information, such as deadlines,
locations of seminars and confirmation of receipt of materials will be
responded to at any time.
