Subject: Status of Duma legislation
The Center for Institutional Reform and the Informal Sector (IRIS) is
a development organization headquartered at the University of
Maryland at College Park. One of IRIS's many initiatives in economic
and legal institution building involves advising drafters of the new
Civil Code for the Russian Federation.
Owing to the volatile election-year politics in Russia, I am very
interested in the current status of the Civil Code on the floor of
the Duma, as well as any references to civil legislation by some of
the major political blocs. Further, I would be interested in any
documents outlining standing rules and procedures of the Duma and
Federation Council.
If anyone on the list can provide this information, or can direct me
to other resources, I would appreciate it greatly. Thank you in
advance for your time and assistance.
Sincerely,
Adam Korengold
