Subject: addresses in Eastern Russia

To whom it may concern,

I am a member of Amnesty International's Coordination Group on the Russian
Federation in Australia, and we are endeavouring to start up a public
debate in Eastern Russia on the abolition of the death penalty. To do
this, we are producing an action kit to distribute to interested groups and
media outlets in the Russian Far East, but we have so far had difficulty in
obtaining any addresses in this area.

I am hoping that members of CivilSoc may have the addresses of some NGOs
in the Russian Far East, specifically those concerned with human rights.
If you do, I would appreciate it if you could provide me with their
addresses, phone numbers, faxes, e-mail addresses. Our area of
concentration includes Primorsky Krai (including Vladivostok), Amur,
Buryat, Yakutsk, Kamchatka, Sakhalin and Khabarovsk.

A safe, if slow, way to contact me is via my postal address, which is:
Katrine Bewley
71 Bennelong Cres
Macquarie, ACT, 2614
AUSTRALIA.

However, I would prefer it if you could send me any addresses or
information you may have by e-mail, as time is critical. (my address is at
the top of this letter).

Thanking you in advance for your help,

Katrine Bewley.
