Rule of Law projects in Russia and Ukraine
18 Rule of Law projects have recently been awarded grants for work
in Russia and Ukraine in a variety of fields, including:
* Commercial law
* Environmental law
* Public Interest Law
* Ukrainian Bar Association
* Alternative Dispute Resolution
* NGO-formation
* Press & Mass Media
* Women & Human Rights
The grants are were made during the first cycle of competition
under the USAID "NIS Regional, Ukraine and Russia Rule of Law"
contract which is administered by the ARD/Checchi Rule of Law
Consortium. The grants range in size from $25,000 to $135,000,
with most in the range of $95,000-100,000.

Citizens Democracy Corps, a non-profit organization, is looking for
volunteer businesspeople to provide management, marketing, and technical
assistance to East European and Russian Companies. Assigments are for 8
weeks. Airfare, housing, and interpretation services are provided. Senior
