Subject: Transmitting Russian text
Hello everybody.
My name is Dima Gershenson. I face the problem: how to transmit Russian
text through email. I have a text editor, Microsoft Word 5.1 with the
Russian fonts on Macintosh. It allows me to produce, print out and do all
the other manipulations with the Russian texts. I can send this text through
email too. The machine converts Russian letters into corresponding Latin
letters (so russian "o" gets turned into "j" etc.) The result is the text in
Latin letters which can be sent anywhere. The problem is, the addressee has
to have the same software as I do, to be able to read the message.
Right now my addressee has an IBM computer. What can be done (except
buying the Macintosh for him)?
Best regards, Dima.
