Subject: Environmental Professionals with NIS experience
The International Training and Development Institute is currently
searching for environmental professionals with experience in the NIS
in order to provide training to Russian officials and scientists
coming to Seattle at the end of May. We are searching for:
1. Instructors with experience in biodiversity management, creation of
protected areas, biological monitoring, restoration of habitats,
anti-poaching.
2. Instructors with experience in Sustainable Land Use management,
zoning maps, GIS, US land use laws. In this area, we are specifically
looking for people who are familiar with the Baikal region.
We would prefer to have professionals with PHD's or significant
experience in the area, including training experience. Instructors
should be familiar with the relevant environmental issues of the
Russian Far East, and should have conducted work in the NIS. Fluency
in the Russian language is not a requirement, although it would be
preferred.
