First Russian-American Breast Cancer Conference
to Be Held in Moscow, June 7-8-9,1995
 
    The First Russian-American Breast Cancer Conference, bringing
together experts and clinicians from the West and the former Soviet
Union, will be held at the Cancer Research Center (CRC) of the
Russian Academy of Medical Sciences in Moscow June 7-9, 1995.
 
    Breast Cancer experts from leading U.S. institutions and cancer
centers will speak, joining more than 20 Russian scientists and physicians
who will present research and serve as moderators.
 
    Topics include breast cancer epidemiology, molecular genetics,
familial factors, tumor staging and diagnosis, prognostic factors,
surgical options and reconstruction, treatment of medical
emergencies, and communicating diagnoses. Also included are
discussions of chemotherapies and hormonal therapies, toxicity
management, radiation therapy, mammography, and screening
programs. The conference agenda addresses current breast cancer
conditions and practices in the former USSR and internationally.
 
    Conference fees are waived for doctors from the former Soviet
Union. For others, the conference fee is $450 prior to April 1 and
$500 after April 1. Abstracts are not solicited. A post-conference
proceedings publication but no abstract book will be available.
Attendance is open on a first come-first served basis. Assistance
with visas will be provided.
