I am wondering if you might have some suggestions as to contacts in
Palana, Kamchatka. I am planning to be there several months this summer
and possibly through the rest of the year, along with my husband, who
will be doing research on the language/culture of the Koryak. I would
very much like to volunteer/work for an organization while I am there,
ideally one that is concerned with indigenous and environmental issues. I
could offer my services as an English teacher, a translator, in museum
education, or office support, ( I have a real interest in
ethnomusicology as well.) I would be grateful for any ideas you would
have as to American or Russian individuals or organizations I could
contact in Palana, or perhaps elsewhere in Kamchatka.
