The Joint Baltic American National Committee (JBANC) announces its "First
Post-Independence Conference on Baltic Affairs" to be held on March 24-26
in the Washington, D.C. area. The conference will take place at the
Hyatt Regency in Crystal City, 2799 Jefferson Davis Hwy., Arlington, VA.
The conference will start at 9 a.m. on Friday, March 24th and will
continue through the weekend with the last event scheduled for 11:30 a.m.
on Sunday, March 26.

Guest speakers will include Toomas H. Ilves, Estonian Ambassador to the
US; Ojars Kalnins, Latvian Ambassador to the US; Adolfas Eidinas,
Lithuanian Ambassador to the US; Paul Goble from the Carnegie Endowment
for International Peace; and Brewster Campbell from the Baltic American
Enterprise Fund.

Registration is $50. For additional $55 one can attend the Saturday
