Objective
The objective of this resume is to get a position of an
interpreter and/or translator or computer specialist. Those
positions are very attractive to me because they can best
utilize my knowledge of English language and computers.
Education
1988- 1994 St. Petersburg State Technical University,
student of the Faculty of the Technical
Cybernetics in Computer Science. Completed
the courses in higher mathematics,
computer science, theory of automated
control of the technical systems and
other. Graduated as an Engineer with a
specialization of "Automation and
Management of the Technical Systems".
Graduation project (diploma) in the
designing and programming of the database
software for the university using
Clipper 5.1 programming language and
Clipper Tools II package.
1991 - 1992 Guide School of St.Petersburg Office of
the "Intourist" Company. Student of the
courses on the city sightseeing,
excursions to the major museums and suburb
palaces. Graduated as a guide certified to
conduct excursions in English.
Professional experience
1994 - present Computer specialist/software instructor in
the "PeterLink" company - the regional
representative/provider of the Internet
network. Installation and tuning of the
software and hardware for e-mail
communications. Instructing new users on
using the software. Translation of
announcements and other information for
English-speaking users.
1993 - present Interpreter in the St.Petersburg office of
the "Bridge of Friendship" organization
("CoMission" project) - the group of
American Christian educators teaching in
schools in St.Petersburg. Oral translation
of messages, workshops, facilitated
communications and written translation of
the handout materials. Giving tours to the
members of the organization and visitors
from the USA.
1993 Part-time translator in the
"Lenraumamebel" Russian-Finnish joint
venture. Translation of the manuals for
the equipment used in the wood processing.
1992 - 1993 Interpreter in the "Lord's Move to
Europe", St. Petersburg office of the
American Christian group. Oral translation
of messages, facilitated communications
and every day life of the members of the
group.
Languages
Russian - native.
English - fluent.
German - basic reading and writing skills at the beginners
level.
