I am seeking employment in Russia for this summer (1996). As a Ph.D. student in Russian and Polish literatures, I am fluent in English, Russian, and Polish, and have a reading knowledge of French and German. I am qualified to work as an interpreter (Russian-Polish-English), translator (any of the above languages into English), teacher of English as a second langauge, and editor (English, academic texts or other). I have professional experience in each of these areas.

Employment: 

I have taught Intensive Russian, Elementary Polish, and worked as a 
Teaching Assistant for Russian Literature courses at the University of 
California, Los Angeles, from 1993 to present. I have translated 
academic articles (Russian-English) for publication, and worked as an 
interpreter (Russian-English) for the Boston Museum of Science (summer 
1990). I taught English as a Foreign Language in Boston (1990-1991), and 
I have lived and studied in both Russia and Poland.
