SEEKING A CHALLENGING EMPLOYMENT OPPORTUNITY IN THE FORMER SOVIET UNION
Email: guierdg@selway.umt.edu
I FIRMLY BELIEVE that my educational and professional background would
prove valuable to any organization with interests in Russia, for the
reasons listed below.
* I have practical management experience with Russian employees, as well
as first-hand knowledge of doing business in the former Soviet Union.
Extensive travel throughout that region and being married to a Russian
woman have also given me broad insight into the Russian character and
the way things work there.
* My knowledge of Russian is extremely fluent. Living and studying in
both Leningrad and Moscow have allowed me to greatly refine all
aspects of my Russian language skills.
* I have several years of practical translating experience from Russian
to English and vice versa, and have worked with all types of documents
- technical, business, legal, as well as personal correspondence.
* Having taught Russian at the university level, I am well equipped to
instruct others.
* As a graduate student in journalism I refined my writing skills, and
developed editing and publication design skills. Together with my
knowledge of desktop publishing programs, I can put these skills to
work in both English and Russian.
I would very much like to be part of a motivated and success-oriented team
working in Russia. I have no personal commitments that would prevent my
relocation.
