The support of "women in their selfless and restless work in science and education in favorof Future of Russia, our children and grandchildren" is the goal of this nonprofit organization. This is done by uniting the devoted women in these fields and providing them a number of services and resources.
This US nonprofit organization, with offices in Washington, DC and Moscow, Russia, represents interests and services of libraries, information centers, and scholar and academic institutions of Russia and other countries of the former USSR on the American market. The other objective of the Center is to facilitate the access of American users to scientific, technological, legal, business, and other types of information in Russia and the CIS. Searchable databases of Russian books and periodicals are available on this web site.

Founded in 1848, this nonprofit professional society provides many functions, one of which is serving as a clearinghouse of information on funding opportunities for scientists in the region of the former Soviet Union; conferences and meetings in that region; and general networking information for all disciplines. Their overall mission is to "the advancement of scientific and technological excellence across all disciplines, and to the public's understanding of science and technology. The AAAS website also provides a variety of publications online. Scientist to Scientist is an excellent publication produced by the AAAS.
This professional society "provides leadership in addressing issues that confront the future of the Internet". It is the central organizational point for the groups that are responsible for Internet Infrastructure standards. Professional membership of this society is comprised of 6,000 individual members and 100 organizational members from over 100 countries which are brought together by the common goal of "maintaining the viability and global scaling of the Internet".
Founded in 1887 as a one-room laboratory, NIH is one of the world's leading biomedical research centers. As the Federal focal point for biomedical research in the U.S., they accomplish their goals by conducting research in their own labs, supporting research of non-Federal scientists in other research and learning institutions in the U.S. and internationally, the training of research professionals and, by fostering communication of biomedical information.
This independent government agency of the United States was established in 1950 to promote the progress of science; to advance the national health, prosperity, and welfare; and to secure the national defense. It is a major provider of basic research funding in the USA with programs that may involve Russia and other countries of the fSU.
This organization of scholarly men and women was founded over 120 years ago and, with its interesting history, is the oldest Ukrainian academy of arts and sciences. They maintain offices worldwide with the U.S. headquarters in New York City. While its main focus is scholarship and education, they perform a variety of other interesting functions.
The mission of this society is to revive the traditional role of scientific societies in Russia.
