This is the true nature of home-- it is the place of Peace; the shelter, not only from injury, but from all terror, doubt and division. - John Ruskin

If you wish to live wisely, ignore sayings--including this one. - Heywood Broun

"Friends and Partners" was announced on the Internet on January 19, 1994, and has an interesting history. Below, you will find a list of links that will provide information on its initial history.

Please visit the new (February 9, 1998) F&P General Bulletin Board for questions, information and discussion about Friends and Partners -- current activities, and plans for improvements.

The final link is a complete paper that was given at the Internet '95 Conference and, perhaps, provides the most thorough overview of the motivation and implementation of this project.

Project Harmony

Make sure to visit the Project Harmony web site. This is one of the best organizations involved in US, Russian exchange - and they've been at it for a long time (since the days when US and Russian exchange was limited mainly to music and performing arts). Colleen Halley does a super job with their site (and with the Internet School Linkages Program).
