    NaukaNet and the Next Network

     

     

    The "next generation Internet" is coming and promises a much richer communications media. F&P is working with the National Center for Supercomputing Applications (NCSA) of the University of Illinois and with colleagues at the Kurchatov Institute, Russian Institute for Public Networking, the Joint Supercomputing Center and the Russian Academy of Science - to establish a high speed (155M) Internet service between Russian and U.S. scientific communities. The grant is funded by the U.S. National Science Foundation and the Ministry for Science and Technology of the Russian Federation. Please read more about the NaukaNet project at the NaukaNet WWW site.
