Magnitogorsk

Magnitogorsk is an industrial city in Chelyabinsk oblast, situated on the eastern slope of the Southern Urals. It was founded in 1929, when the Magnitogorskiy metallurgical plant was being built. The city is a centre of ferrous metallurgy. Machine building and metalworking industries are also well developed.
