    This extensive, detailed site has fascinating information about the architecture in this region and includes some of the myths and superstitions that influence the architecture. There are many photos and diagrams so this is slow to load but definitely worth having patience for.

    Make sure to visit the Project Harmony web site. This is one of the best organizations involved in US, Russian exchange - and they've been at it for a long time (since the days when US and Russian exchange was limited mainly to music and performing arts). Colleen Halley does a super job with their site (and with the Internet School Linkages Program).
