The "next generation Internet" is coming and promises a much richer communications media. F&P is working with the National Center for Supercomputing Applications (NCSA) of the University of Illinois and with colleagues at the Kurchatov Institute, Russian Institute for Public Networking, the Joint Supercomputing Center and the Russian Academy of Science - to establish a high speed (155M) Internet service between Russian and U.S. scientific communities.
