This USAID-grantee, operating in Ukraine and Moldova, provides assistance to small and medium-sized, private and privatized enterprises using the expertise 20,000 U.S. volunteers.
SNIP, developed in the fSU, is the official federal uniform, regulatory system of national codes and construction regulations of the Russian Federation used for design and construction. This is not a code development, administration or enforcement organization but an system of standards and codes that are now being adopted by other NIS countries. (A Cyrillic version of this document is also available.)
This nonprofit foundation was founded under a cooperative agreement with the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) and the National Association of Home Builders (NAHB) - Research Center. Their purpose is the support the development of the construction of private sector homes and the building materials manufacturers in Russia that uses the most appropriate technology from both the US and Russia to meet housing needs in Russia. This site provides an large amount of information on their activities, support, technical information and the promotion of investment opportunities for US companies in Russia.
