The works of Russian Soviet poet Osip Emilevich Mandelshtam are filled with cultural and historical forms and motifs, which are developed through a concrete and tangible view of the world. Mandelshtam's first poems were published in the magazine "Excited Thought" in 1907, but his real literary debut occured when five of his poems were published in the magazine "Apollon" in August of 1910. Mandelshtam's first poetic compilations were "Stone," published in 1913, "Tristia" published in 1922, and "Second Book,' published in 1923. In 1925, a collection of prose entitled "Egyptian Stamp" and a collection of critical articles "On Poetry" were published. In the next seven years, from October 1930, to July 1937, Mandelshtam wrote more than 200 compositions. His last two books: "Voronezh Notebook" (1966), and "Conversations on Dante" (1967), were published after his death in 1938.
