A map demonstrating the overlapping fields of fire that swept Sniper Alley, a route through the heart of Sarajevo that serves as a link between the Old Town in the east and newer, industrial areas in the west. The wide boulevard also divides the city into northern and southern sections--along a former front line of combat. Grid scale: 1 kilometer square.
