Dear Mr. Craig,

On behalf of the Board of Trustees of the American Society of Landscape Architects, I would like to thank you for your efforts to help the people of Bosnia find peace through the skills of regional planning and urban design. Your presentation at our Mid-year Board of Trustees meeting has compelled us to ask: What can we do to help?

The Bosnia Network offers an exciting avenue through which the A.S.L.A. and allied schools and professionals can contribute to their skills in community-building on behalf of those who need it most. It is my hope that a significant effort from our profession will focus on a recovery plan for Bosnia this academic year, and that this endeavor will reaffirm in all of us the value of giving.

The Bosnia Network has our full support and our confidence that others will respond to your call.

You have used your background in landscape architecture in a way that credits the profession. We commend you.

Sincerely, Dennis Y. Otsuji, FASLA
President, American Society of Landscape Architects
