Dear Dennis:

(1) Many thanks for your msg (ATTACHMENT I
) with a very interesting news article about President Obama in Japan.

(2) Pls retrieve Reference (a) above for the story how the Hiroshima atomic bomb started at Columbia University.

(3) References (b) and (c) mentioned of my in-direct experience with the Hiroshima bomb.

BTW, those references (a) to (c) mentioned of Buddhism — Buddha was born in Bihar, where is your home district in India.

(4) As mentioned in the References (d) and (e) above, we will have a demonstration (*) of gaming/simulation on the energy policies proposed by Former Vice President, Mr. Al Gore and President Barack Obama to replace fossil fuel with renewable one to generate electricity in the United States in relation to appropriate allocation of oil revenue in Niger Delta of Nigeria, -- What would be the consequences to other economic and social structures in the US and in other countries, particularly Nigeria? — This is because 95% of Nigerian revenue comes from oil export, 40% of which is exported to north America.

(*) This is to be held during Global Symposium on: Climate Change and International Peace and Security, Global Challenges and Global Solutions: Interdisciplinary Approaches Center for International Conflict Resolution (CICR) in the School of International and Public Affairs (SIPA) of Columbia University in May 2010.

(5) You may know that, while President Obama was an undergraduate student at the SIPA, his first paper on the ÒNon Nuclear WorldÓ was published in the student newspaper of Columbia University.

Dear Richard:

(6) You may be familiar with the above — referring to your talk on Nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty at SethÕs seminar a few years back.

BTW, I recently talked with Seth mentioning References (d) and (e).  He very much pleased our successful visit to IBM.  He is hoping to resume his Columbia University monthly seminar in a month or two.  Hope to see you there, then.

Dear Dennis:

(7) What we need now is a cross pollination of Eastern and Western cultures for jointly creating a new Global Culture and Civilization of a global society in the knowledge age of the 21st century by youngsters around the world with the use of advanced Information and Communication Technologies (ICTs).

Appreciation of support - The Bihar Project

Dear Dr. Tak:

It was a great honor to have you join us this Friday 6th August, 2009, for the inauguration of the Vihara Foundation - home of the Bihar Project.

I am personally very impressed with your life long dedication and work to making this world a better place, and I am thankful of your contributions to our humanitarian initiative - The Bihar Project.

As we discussed, may I suggest you narrate and make available (for the benefit of present generation) the part of your personal odyssey as it relates to your stories of close (teenage) encounter with participation of becoming a soldier of global conflict (WW II), and that of your life long work in providing solutions for global conflicts. Your work is remarkable, and I see you as a great humanitarian and human being; this is important to be brought to perspective, as we tend to take the sacrifices of the past to lightly (I am a big fan of understanding WWII history).

May you be blessed, and all the best,
Your Friend,

Dennis Ramdahin
