Dear Peter and Simone:

(1) Many thanks for your msgs (ATTACHMENT I
and II).

My wholehearted congratulations to your receiving grants for your projects (see References (b) and (c) for Peter, and References (d) and (e) for Simone) from the Global Environment and Conflict Resolution Program at the Center for International Conflict Resolution (CICR) in the
School of International and Public Affairs (SIPA) of Columbia University, which program is operated with the Italian Ministry for Environment, Land and Sea (see Reference (a) above).

I am extremely happy with this to see the realization of my life dream, i.e., the introduction of scientific, quantitative policy analysis with the use of system dynamic simulation models basing on facts and figures to the political science field.

(2) As you may know, the CICR of SIPA of Columbia University is the world renowned, prestigious outfit so that, I hope, you would utilize your receiving grant very wisely and effectively.

(3) Pls feel free to contact me if we can be of any further help to your projects with this valuable seed money.

Best, Tak

Dear TAK,

Please find below the text of notification of approval of our request for funding for "Niger Delta Rennaissance.

I am eternally grateful for your mentoring, guidance and counseling. I have held meetings with our Nigerian partners (NITDA, Ministry of Niger Delta, NDDC, Galaxy backbone Plc, etc) with the possibility of additional funding to raise the project profile, both locally and internationally.

Once we agree dates I will notify you and we can then make the arrangements for the foreign participants. Do you have suggestions for the date of the conference to suit your schedule? Or other general comments about the way forward?

I will be calling Dr. Ollor today to inform him as well and plan a meeting with him asap.

Humble regards,

Peter.
