(3) It was certainly my great pleasure to have met with you at your office in late afternoon of 6/16th.

My wholehearted congratulations for your receiving a grant for your project ÒGlobal Environment and Conflict ResolutionÓ from the Italian Ministry for Environment, Land and Sea.

This project seems to go very well with our GCEPG/GSEEED projects — see References (b) and (c) above, since the QUANTITATIVE policy analysis of our projects may be able to support your QUALITATIVE policy analysis.

(3) At our mtg, I mentioned of our project mtg at the Polytechnic Institute of NYU on 6/18th, with Harold, Carl, Amit, and Andrea — Andrea through Skype videoconferencing since he missed his flight from Washington DC.  It was very productive mtg, and I will mentioned of it in my following list distributions.

I am writing to you with a new Call for Proposals currently underway at the Center for International Conflict Resolution (CICR) at Columbia University. This call is part of the new Fund for Global Environment and Conflict Resolution, which is the result of a partnership between CICR and the Italian Ministry for Environment, Land and Sea. The current initiative is seeking to engage researchers looking at the environment-conflict nexus, especially in the Middle East, North Africa, the Balkans, Colombia and Peru among other areas.
