Dear Douglass:

(1) Many thanks for your msg (ATTACHMENT I).

It has been long time since our last correspondences.  Very glad to hear from you again, too.

I visited your web site and found tremendous progress since your Greenwich University in 1990s.  My wholehearted congratulations!!

(2) As you may know from our list distributions, our colleagues are working hard to establish their GUS in various countries.  They are then organizing planning workshops — such as the one in Nigeria, which may be held in the coming summer.  You may then attend the workshops to solicit their interest in your global e-learning course offerings.

Subject: Dr. Capogrossi and Akamai University

Dr. Utsumi,

It was good hearing from you again.  I have monitored your many activities for a few years and continue to respect your achievements internationally.

Akamai University has become a respected cross-border higher education partner with a number of internationally recognized training agencies and accredited colleges and universities across the global environment.  We now have active agreements in the Philippines, Malaysia, Lebanon, Ghana, and USA.  We under discussions are close to active programs in Greece, Nigeria, Sierra Leone, and Vietnam.  We have active faculty and students in a total of fifteen nations.  As we develop, we expect to be a viable agency for federation activities, bringing our active partners into cooperation with other organizations such as yours, Dr. Utsumi.

I realize you hay have dee reservations working with unaccredited colleges, but as a nonprofit organization, you may find our mission and activities of importance in cross-border higher education, and find a way to build cooperation.

Kind regards,

Douglass Capogrossi, Ph.D.
