Dear E-Colleagues:
(1) Ralph recently initiated a discussion blog of the McLeod Institute of
Simulation Sciences (MISS) and my proposal to discuss on the Design of Globally
Collaborative Environmental Peace Gaming (GCEPG) was kindly accepted —
see <http://tinyurl.com/cc75wk>.
As you see in this web site, the MISS is a very prestigious organization
affiliated with the Society for Computer Simulation (which was originally
created by John McLeod and I changed its name in early 1970s after serving
their Summer Computer Simulation Conference (SCSC) as the Program Chairman in
1970 and as the General Chairman in 1971).
BTW, I met Ralph at those SCSCs, and found out that he is a few years junior to
me from the same Chemical Engineering Department of Montana State University in
Bozeman, Montana!! He made a great contribution to the society as the
president several times.
I am therefore very honored to have my proposal been accepted.
(2) Should you be interested in joining in this discussion group, pls send me
your brief bio (1/2 to one page), full CV, and a couple of any paper you
published in this line of subject.
If appropriate, I will commend you to Ralph to be admitted into this group.
(3) Ultimate goal of this project is to construct the ÒGlobally Distributed Socio-Economic-Environmental Simulation SystemÓ
-- see Figure 8 of the Reference (f) above.
The initial step to apply this approach is GCEPG/GSEEED/Nigeria — see
Reference (h)-(i) above.
(4) Outline of this scheme is as follows.
As shown in this diagram, activity-components can be grouped around (1)
Population, (2) Natural resources, (3) Capital Investment, (4) Agriculture, and
(5) Pollution. These sector may be analogous to different countries.
Now, each country model will be dispersed to their location, and yet they are
to be interconnected through broadband Internet as ÒGlobally Distributed Socio-Economic-Environmental Simulation SystemÓ
-- see Figure 8 of the Reference (f) above.
(5) Every of those simulation models will produce graphical outputs or
time-series (Excel type) tables.

(6) Our tasks are to
develop:
(a)
Inter-linkages of variables
(b) Interface of models
(7) Pls feel free to
contact me if you have any questions.
I would strongly welcome your comments and suggestions.
Best, Tak
