Dear Hans:

(1) Pls visit References (a) and (b) above, and give me your comments for improvement — particularly to the Reference (b), since it may be converted to our fund raising.

(2) In the Section 1.6 of the concept paper, I listed Al Gores proposition to replace fossil fuel with renewable one to generate electricity in the US in ten years, as one of our proposed policy analysis of our GSEEED project.

(a) I wonder if your Global Energy Modeling System might be usable for this analysis.

(b) Al Gores proposition may be too bold.  How is the case when it is scaled down to replace 25%, or 50%, or 75% -- and in 10 years or 20 years or 30 years, etc?

(c) How would those replacements affect to other social and industrial structures in the US? -- or any other countries?

(d) If successful, would this scheme be applicable to other countries? -- especially those countries of G8 members which does not produce oil, such as Japan, Germany, France, Italy, etc.?

(e) If successful, how soon would such renewable energy technology be available? -- particularly to developing countries?

These may be very interesting and valuable exercise, especially when these would be accomplished with the participation of experts in those countries with their simulation models which would be interlinked each other through broadband Internet in global scale — in a sense, this would be an extension of our previous gaming/simulation on the US/Japan trade issue which was mentioned in Section 5. Benchmarks of the concept paper above.

Dear Steve:

(3) Referring to our previous conversations, pls let me know if you can find anyone in your Battelle who may be interested in our GSEEED project.

Dear Jerry:

(4) Many thanks for your msg (ATTACHMENT I
) and a recent phone call.

I have read the followings with great interest;

(a) Letter from Jerry Greenburg to Ms. Outschoorn (August 25, 2008)

(b) World Innovations for Sustainable Environments convention
The Future of Your Municipality At a Crossroads in Time
May 8 – 13, 2010, Toronto, Canada
http://tinyurl.com/4rzzt5

(5) It is our great privilege and honor to receive your invitation to participate in this splendid event.

You may consider to have our GSEEED gaming/simulation along with Mr. Al Gores proposition as mentioned above — you may ask him to preside this occasion at your convention.  He may conduct such a gaming/simulation in a large auditorium with many large screens which shows videoconferencings of participating gamer players from other countries with the graphical displays of their simulation results — as similar to the control room of NASA.

Should you be interested, pls call me so that we can discuss further in details.

Dear
Muriel :

(6) Many thanks for your msg (ATTACHMENT II
).

Yes, Mr. Browns speech is excellent.

(7) Many thanks for your msg (ATTACHMENT III
).

It would be my great honor to be interviewed.  Pls set the time and inform it to me.

Dear Harold:

(8) Many thanks for your msg (ATTACHMENT IV
).

I would be happy to visit you to have a mtg with Sunil and Carl to discuss our project further.

Pls let me know the date and time.

Best, Tak

Re: [gu-new] (10/08/08) Meeting to discuss optical fiber network along modern Silk Road in Central Asian countries

Thanks for this important info, Dr Tak

I am singularly interested in the Global Peace through the Global University System.  This relates well to my concept of creating a Global Youth Corps for Sustainable Development, an idea which I shared with the presidential candidates and with President Bush and former President Clinton.

At the Clinton Global Initiative 2008 closing session, during his remarks on Globalistion, Mr Gordon Brown, PM of the UK, referred to the creation of a Global Peace Corps.  The Youth Corps I envision is somewhat like the existing Peace Corps, but not unidirectional - multidirectional - where youth from all over the world will share info and learn from each other's country and culture, armed with the laptops, cell phones, ipods, their technology as well as some key instruments like the MDGS, the Convention on Climate Change, the Declaration of Human Rights - and thus leave PEACE FOOTPRINTS around the planet.

PS - I was at the Clinton Global Initative where I had the pleasure of interacting with interesting social entrepreneurs and investors.  Click here for Gordon Brown's speech on the creation of a Global Peace Corps, an idea which I had been sending around to the political candidates and to President Clinton...The time is now to harness the energy of our youth and revisit the Peace Corps concept which is unidirectional to a more multidirectional approach.

Taj,

I am particularly interested in this new Silk Road project -- related
to some work I am doing with the India-China Institute (New School,
Yunnan Univ. & Kolkata Univ.) that I hope Poly will eventually be
involved with.

Perhaps we can discuss this after I return from China on Npvember 1.
