Dear Marc:

(1) Many thanks for your msg (ATTACHMENT I
) in response to my letter sent to Prof. Jerry Sachs at the Earth Institute of Columbia University <http://tinyurl.com/4ywn4c>, which invited and suggested the followings;

I.     Invitation to join in our following projects:

(a) "Globally Collaborative Environmental Peace Gaming (GCEPG)"
http://tinyurl.com/k2c7a

(b) The following is the initiation project of the above;
ÒQuantitative Policy Analysis of Global Socio-Economic-Energy-Environment Development (GSEEED) Project
Ó
http://tinyurl.com/337nrn

II.    Creation of the Center for Conflict Resolution (CCR):

The CCR at your Earth Institute is to be the global center of similar ones in various countries for conducting the following two-tier system as utilizing our GCEPG/GSEEED project approach:

(a) One for training young would-be decision makers in crisis management, conflict resolution, and negotiation techniques basing on "facts and figures" and

(b) The other for helping decision makers constructing a globally distributed decision-support system for positive sum/win-win alternatives to conflict and war.

I greatly appreciate your providing us with your valuable time for discussing the above at your office.  I will inform you its exact date as soon as I hear from our colleagues about their choice of date.

Dear Hans, Harold, Sunil and Carl:

(3) As mentioned in it, I strongly urge you to attend this event of ÒGetting acquaint meeting for creating Global Network of Center for Conflict Management and Resolution (GNCCMR)Ó at MarcÕs office.

Should you be able to attend, I would greatly appreciate it if you can kindly provide me three choices of your available dates (afternoon) between July 8th and 18th, at your earliest convenience -- I hope one of those three dates would satisfy everybodyÕs convenience.

Hans, I appreciated to hear of your affirmative intention to attend — pls feel free to bring your staff, if appropriate.

(4) ATTACHMENT II
below is a first draft of tentative schedules of this meeting for your reference.

Pls inform me of any of your suggestions and requirements for your presentations.

Dear Prof. Onishi, Tatiana, Dorien and other GSEEED project members:

(5) Sorry I could not get travel fund for your attending this mtg from the Japan Foundation — they said that their discretionary fund of this fiscal year was exhausted.  I will work out for your attendance at our next large workshop in Novosibirsk, Siberia, as mentioned in;

(06/08/08) (1) UNESCO Chair, (2) 10th Global Leadership Forum, and (3) T. Utsumi's presentation
http://tinyurl.com/4shmyc

Dear Marc:

(6) BTW, pls inform us how to get to your office from Times Square, and how long does it take, and what would be fare.

Is there any eating place nearby your office for quick lunch before our mtg?  Is there any way you can carter it for us with our cost?

Best, Tak

RE: Invitation and suggestion to the Earth Institute

Dear Tak,

Please accept my deepest apologies for taking so long to get back to you with some possible dates for a meeting on our campus.  It has been extremely hectic here with a number of large grant proposals due all around the same time, and it has been difficult to find time to coordinate calendars.

Are you and your colleagues available some day between July 8th and July 18th?

-     Marc
