Dear GSEEED Project Team Members:
(1) Pls visit the following web site;
Quantitative Policy Analysis of Global
Socio-Economic-Energy-Environment Development (GSEEED) Project
http://preview.tinyurl.com/337nrn
Dear Prof. Barlas:
(2) Many thanks for your msg (ATTACHMENT I).
Many thanks also for your letter of commitment. I included it into ANNEX
II of the above web site.
(3) Pls visit the following previous list distribution;
(09/24/07) Possible funds of European Union to GUS in
periphery countries around Black Sea
http://preview.tinyurl.com/26drd4
As you see in the ATTACHMENT I of this distribution, Bernhard of EU kindly
suggested that your Turkey is eligible for the European Union's 7th Framework
Programme for R&D (some 53 billion Euro until 2013). You may also be
interested in the Enabling Grids for E-sciencE Project (EGEE)
<http://www.eu-egee.org/>, which Bernhard indicated.
You may then start considering to work on its proposal as for the
GSEEED/Turkey. We would be very delighted to work on it with you
together.
(4) Pls visit the following list distributions;
(a) (09/08/07) "Cultural Bridges between Finland
and Japan" in Tampere, Finland on 11/9th/07
http://preview.tinyurl.com/2l7l8j
(b) (09/13/07) (1) GSEEED Project, (2) Mini-workshop on creating GUS/Turkey
http://preview.tinyurl.com/2x23g7
As said in them, we will have a ceremony for the signing of the Memorandum Of
Understanding (MOU) by the rectors of the University of Tampere and the TOBB
Economic and Technology University (ETU) in Ankara, Turkey at the occasion of
this Japan and Finish event, so that Turkish learners can take e-learning
courses from the University of Tampere and the Helsinki University of
Technology. There will also be the Japanese Ambassador to Finland, Finish
Ambassador to Turkey, Turkish Ambassador to Finland, according to Tapio Varis.
We will have a mini-workshop after the ceremony and discuss on the fund raising
to the EU for GUS/Turkey activities — I understand that Finland is the
President country of the EU now.
(5) BTW, you may also be interested in visiting the web site of the South
Eastern European GRID-enabled eInfrastructure Development at
<http://www.see-grid.eu/>, which was suggested by Bernhard of EU.
For fund raising, you may start contemplating the joint effort of your
GSEEED/Turkey with the GUS/Turkey.
(6) Pls feel free to solicit any interested parties from your contacts with the
members of the System Dynamics Society, for which you were once the President.
Anyway, many thanks again for your letter of commitment. LetÕs keep in
touch.
Dear Ralph:
(7) It was certainly my great pleasure to have spoken with you yesterday and
many thanks for your msg of today.
Pls vist ANNEX I of the URL of the Item (1) above for your photo.
Incidentally, I wholeheartedly agree with your motto
ÒCOMPUTER SIMULATION IS FUN!!,Ó since I also had so much joy and fun while
engaging in simulations of various subjects in 50s, 60s, and 70s. My
enthusiastic motivation for our GSEEED and GCEPG projects is to create an
environment for inheriting such joy of simulation to youngsters around the
world for their Òlearning with doingÓ -- Chinese words say ÒAcquiring
knowledge is a joy, and sharing knowledge is an ultimate joy.Ó
Pls send me your letter of commitment at your earliest convenience (Pls see ANNEX II of the Item (1) above for reference to others).
I hope you would be able to work on the construction of model databank,
databases for exchange of variables among simulation models, and the
communications algorisms among those models.
(8) Pls, if possible, solicit any interested parties from your contacts in
Poland and among members of the McLeod Institute of Simulation Sciences (MISS).
You mentioned of an institute in Poland which was financed by the
Japanese government.
I look forward to meeting with you again soon.
Dear Leslaw:
(9) Many thanks for your msg (ATTACHMENT II) with kind words.
I have read your following materials with great interest;
(a) China – EU INFORMATION CENTER for Sustainable
Development Strategy and Global Dynamic Monitoring
<http://preview.tinyurl.com/2plpuq>
(b) Contents of your new book ÒVision of Sustainable Development SocietyÓ
<http://preview.tinyurl.com/2jmrgb>

(10) Should you have a Polish national socio-economic System Dynamics
simulation model, you may join in RalphÕs Polish colleagues to work on
GSEEED/Poland.
Keep up your good work, and congratulations to your new book!!
Best, Tak

Dear Prof. Utsumi
I am attaching my letter.
As you say, depending on the outcome of the workshop and future funding
prospects, we can see to what extent and in what capacity I can contribute.
We will keep in touch.
thank you and best regards

Dear Tak,
I am sending you my new: China-European Union computer simulation CO-REACH
proposal (see attached ppt).
This proposal together with your excellent big GUS program and my previous
initiative (see: World - Grid Type, Continuously Under-development - System
Dynamics, SDS 2006 Nijmegen Conference paper) are essential to stop global
catastrophe and create information bases for sustainable development policy
and sustainable development economy.
(It is impossible to create sustainable development information bases
without your GUS program.)
Please asses it and help - if you approve it - to put it into praxis..
I am informing you additionally about my new book published by Polish
Academy of Sciences:
VISION OF SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT SOCIETY (see attachments). In this book I
justify these proposals.
In enclosure I am sending you also part of WSIS-EUC msg about these
proposals,
Regards,
Leslaw
