I agree wholeheartedly with the following para;
ÒHigher
education cannot, however, be visualised any longer in purely national or
regional terms. Future graduates have to be in a position to take up the
complex challenges of globalisation and rise to the opportunities of the
international labour market. The equitable transfer of knowledge and the
mobility of students, teachers and researchers, and with also the mobility of
learning environments with the e-learning applications are crucial to the
future of world peace.Ó
Dear E-Colleagues:
I am taking
the liberty of attaching this paper to this list distribution. I strongly
suggest that you read it through.
(3) I thank you also for utilizing my slide on the ÒThe Mission of the
University: Global University System (GUS)Ó among your excellent slides —

Dear
E-Colleagues:
You can retrieve its copy in PowerPoint format with the archive of this
distribution at the URL listed at the top of this msg.
(4) I am also delighted to hear that you had a successful WSIS (World Summit on
the Information Society) conference in Paris.
Are you going to attend the WSIS in Tunis, Tunisia in this coming November? --
this is because my colleagues here in NYC are trying to get me there, too.
If you will be there, we can meet together.
Best, Tak
